Multipatchcord Extralink 24J SC/APC-SC/PC 35M

Multipatchcord is a specific type of fiber optic patchcord. It is built based on fiber optic cable with multiple fibers. Often the cable has UV resistant coating and therefore can be run both indoors and outdoors. At each end the cable has connectors in number corresponding with number of fibers in the cable. The type and type of connectors is selected depending on the needs of a particular installation.

In order to make easier assembling of multipatchcord, either by drilling in the wall or by patchpanels’ inputs, it is possible to make two types of splice – cascade or straight. In cascade splice each connector in splice is made on cable with different length.

Multipatchcord makes connecting points easier and faster. It is ideal for connecting two patchpanels located in different cabinets e.g. in neighboring rooms.
