High-end media converter – TP-Link MC112CS

TP-Link MC112CS is a media converter designed for bi-directional conversion of optical signal 100BASE-FX fiber to 100Base-TX signal conducted with a copper cable. Thanks to the WDM media converter MC112CS uses only one fiber optic cable to transmit and receive data, which reduces the cost of cabling by half. Designed according to IEEE 802.3u 10/100Base-TX and 100Base-FX standards. The MC112CS is designed to be used with a single-mode fiber optic cable using the SC-Type connector.

Long-wave LX transmission

Thanks to the MC112CSZ converter, and in accordance with the specifications of long-wave optical transmission LX, the speed of wired data transmission is maximized. The media converter sends 1550 nm signals and receives 1310 nm wavelengths. On the other hand, in the device to which we will connect the converter, it must send signals of 1310 nm wavelength and receive those of 1550 nm wavelength. An example of TP-LINK device cooperating with MC112CS is MC111CS.

Standalone device

The converter can work as a free standalone device or it can be mounted in a 19′ TP-LINK cabinet, and thanks to LED indicators on the front panel the status of the device will always be visible.
